Dermal Filler
A smooth consistency gel made of hyaluronic acid—a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and hydration. Dermal Fillers such as JUVÉDERM®, volumize and immediately enhance specific areas of your face, including smile lines, superficial lines, lips and dark circles. Fillers can also be used to contour the cheeks and jaw line.

Empower MedSpa uses dermal fillers to provide a smooth, natural look and feel so everyone will notice but no one will know! We recommend taking Arnica tablets 2-4 days before receiving filler. This will assist in minimizing bruising and swelling.

After receiving a filler treatment please follow the below post-care instructions to maximize your results.​

Avoid significant movement or massage of the treated area unless instructed by provider.
-
Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours.
-
Avoid consuming excess amounts of alcohol or salts to avoid swelling.
-
If you have swelling or bruising, you may apply Arnica gel, ice or bromelain.
-
Use Tylenol (acetaminophen) for discomfort.
-
Try to sleep face up and slightly elevated if you are experiencing swelling.
-
Wait a minimum of 4 weeks before skincare treatments or laser treatments.
-
Makeup may be applied to the treatment area 4 hours after care.

For cold sores, you may take Prophylactics . (antivirals, acyclovir).

Dermal Fillers last on average 6-12 months. It is recommended at the time of your treatment to schedule your 2 week check-in to ensure everything has settled to your satisfaction.

The most typical side effects are bruising, swelling, and redness.

Neurotoxins
Neurotoxin injections such as Botox® Cosmetic and Dysport® are a well-known and very popular Medical and Cosmetic treatment, used for treating fine lines and wrinkles caused by every day facial expressions, stress and aging, restoring a more youthful appearance. Neurotoxin injections are a fast, effective and non-invasive treatment, ideal for both men and women, regardless of their age, seeking immediate, anti-aging, natural-looking face results without surgery or downtime.
Common injection areas include: crows feet, elevens, forehead, masseters, and more!

After receiving a neurotoxin treatment, please follow the below post-care instructions to maximize your results.

Avoid hats, visors, headbands, or lying flat for 4 hours after injections.

Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours.

Do not rub, touch or manipulate Botox for 3 hours.

Avoid irritating products for 24 hours following treatment.

Makeup may be applied gently before leaving the office, but remember to wipe away from your eye.

It takes a full 14 days for Botox to take full effect. Don’t love it or hate it until the two week mark.

The most common side effects of Botox injections include headaches, nausea, redness, and slight pain to the injection site. Infrequently, patients may experience muscle weakness, or drooping for the upper eyelid.

Re-treatment is recommended between 3-5 months (no more than every 3 months).

If your upper lip has been treated you will most likely not be able to drink from a straw, whistle, or enunciate some words for approximately 2 weeks.
Kybella®
Consultation is required for treatment.
KYBELLA® (deoxycholic acid) injection is the first and only FDA-approved injectable treatment that is used in adults to improve the appearance and profile of moderate to severe fat below the chin (submental fat). The active ingredient in KYBELLA® is deoxycholic acid, a naturally-occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat.

Prior to receiving a Kybella treatment, please review the below post-care instructions to maximize your results.

An ice pack may be used on the treated area during the first 12 hours after treatment- Ice for 15 minutes on every hour.​

Do not massage the injection site.

If you are able to tolerate ibuprofen take 200mg three times daily beginning the day of your treatment.

Avoid heavy exercise or gym activity for three days after your Kybella injections.
-
You may shower and wash your face as you regularly do.
-
You may apply moisturizers or sunscreen to the treatment area the next day.

It is very normal to feel and see mild to moderate swelling, numbness, hardness to the touch, tingling, redness, and tenderness at the site of the injections.

You may occasionally see bruising or small bleeding that should resolve within a few days.

PDO Max® Threads
PDO Max® Threads work to correct sagging skin, as well as stimulate collagen and elastin production. This is a minimally invasive procedure done in office with little down time. PDO Max® Thread treatment areas include cheeks, brows, crows feet, jowls, smokers lines, lips, and more!
